We are very proud of all our pupil´s progress in their Chinese languages classes. When learning a language it is also important to have an understanding of the country´s culture. On the 16th February, China celebrated their New Year, “The Year of the Dog”. Our Chinese teacher ensured all the pupils gained an understanding of the Chinese New Year celebrations, making various decorations; lanterns, dragons and writing “Happy New Year” in Chinese.
The pupils from Yr. 4 and Yr. 5 astonished us yet again with their capacity to present a beautiful performance with a Dragon dance and a Happy New Year Chinese song in front of all the school pupils and later to their parents.
