After working hard all term, Christmas spirits finally arrived; a time for: parties, fun, enthusiasm, celebrations and a well needed break.
The preparations for this time of year started by practicing our Christmas songs ready for the Christmas concert on the 16th December in the Atlandtida theatre, where our little artists sang beautifully for their families.
At the same time the pupils prepared various Christmas crafts which they then were very proud to take home to show their parents their great art work.
The smallest children of the school, our Nursery and Reception classes, enjoyed an excursion to visit the Nativity scene in Yaiza and play in the nearby area. It was a special day for everyone. Later the rest of the school pupils from Year 1 to Year 5, visited the Princess Yaiza Hotel to see their Nativity scene but also to present their Christmas songs in the hotel reception. After a short stroll singing Christmas songs they arrived in the centre of Playa Blanca where they performed a lovely Christmas concert to on looking tourists and parents around the Christmas tree. Fabulous!
Finally, the most awaited day of Christmas arrived, the visit from Father Christmas. The little ones showed how nervous and excited they were in front of him, telling him their wishes and presents they would be waiting for this Christmas. Photos were taken to celebrate this happy moment. The day continued with great fun Christmas games, activities and films….A day to remember!
Before saying goodbye until next year, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and thank you once again for your continued support this year.
