In the month of February, the long-waited Carnival comes to town! A time for fun, parties and a time to use our imagination to the maximum. In school, we celebrate this festival twice.
First, on 9th February the children put on their best fancy dress and make-up to enjoy a completely different day; games, dances and even parades to show-off their carnival attire to the rest of the school.
Later on, when the carnival arrived in Playa Blanca with a “Rock n’ Roll” theme, the pupils from Queens School prepared fantastic costumes to celebrate this special day. The school was filled with great rockers and famous dancers. Year 2 and year 3 performed the traditional school “Carnival Murga” to their parents. A fabulous performance of the song they had worked so hard to prepare. It was a great success!
