One of the most important parts of our Spanish study program is to learn about the Spanish culture and the idiosyncrasies of our islands.
Several days before we learnt in class about the native flower and fauna, Canarian products, the colours of the Canarian flag, the names of our islands … and finally on 29th May, the children put into practice what they had learnt regarding Canarian sports: boules and Canarian wrestling.
Thanks to the contribution made by all the families both pupils and parents enjoyed sharing a taste of traditional Canarian dishes enlightened by a small sample of Canarian singing and dancing as the pupils from Nursery, Reception and Year One presented the “Carraqueña”.
