World Food Day
To celebrate “World Food Day” on 16th October, the pupils from Queen´s School visited different countries to learn about their typical gastronomy.
Different classrooms were converted into different countries: Spain, France, Mexico, Italy, China and Britain. In each classroom, the children took their passport which allowed them to take this fantastic journey and taste a variety of foods from the countries. From the worldwide famous “Spanish Tortilla” to” Mexican Nachos” and not forgetting the “Classic Italian pizza”.
They tasted the food and learnt a little more about the countries filling their passports with stamps at each point they visited, truly enjoying this fun adventure.
It was a day full of new sensations and tastes enhancing their knowledge and concepts about nutrition and its importance and of course the necessity for a healthy and balanced diet.
