REMEMBRANCE DAY
The 11th November, Remembrance Day is to commemorate the end of the First World War and is celebrated world-wide. It is an important message of hope as we remember those soldiers who fought for peace in the world all those years ago.
To celebrate this day, the older children attended a special assembly to explain the significance of “Remembrance Day” and the symbolism of the poppy. All classes then enjoyed designing different poppies to make one large wreath to display outside on the 11th November.
Some of the older children drew pictures and wrote about Remembrance Day, and at 11 o´clock on the 11th November the whole school held a minute silence to show our respect for all soldiers.
