Halloween
Every year as the end of October approaches there is a kind of eerie excitement in the air. The children work on their Halloween crafts with enthusiasm and at home there is a hubbub of activity as their costumes are bought or created.
The teachers get together to set in motion the transformation of the usual image of the school into one of mystery and maybe just a touch spooky. As they work they conjure up some fun games for the day’s entertainment.
This year amongst the usual: “scooping the pumpkin lantern”, “dipping into the monster ́s brain” and “finding the pumpkin ́s nose” there was also “dressing a mummy” and the most well-known tradition of “bobbing apples”.
The children study hard throughout the year and it is important that they are able to look forward to sharing some light entertainment with their class companions and teachers. Everyone who took part enjoyed the day immensely. However the best part of the day was seeing the children arrive in their fabulous costumes, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents for their cooperation to make these special days a success.
