TRIP TO FUERTEVENTURA
On Tuesday 14TH May Year 3 and Miss Nicola, along with the children and teachers from Daos International school, set off to Oasis Park in Fuerteventura. We caught the Fred Olsen Catamaran and were met in Corralejo by the colourful Oasis Park bus.
We made our way down to Oasis Park, it was about an hour and a half on the bus and this gave us the opportunity to see the beautiful Fuerteventura landscape.
When we arrived at Oasis Park, we had a delicious lunch, met our monitor called Ruben and then went to see the amazing bird of prey show. After that, we went to the Lemur house. It was a great experience to see a baby Lemur only 2 months old. When we finished at the Lemur house Ruben took us to see lots of different animals and primates and gave us lots of information about how they live, what they eat and why they are at the park.
As part of the walk around the park on Tuesday afternoon we visited the Giraffes.
We were so lucky to have the opportunity to feed them, it was so exciting.
After we all had a shower and ate our dinner, we went for a walk to a cave where Ruben told us a story about the history of Fuerteventura. We were all so tired and feel asleep quickly in our beds!
On Wednesday morning after our breakfast, we went back into the park to watch the parrot show, it was really fun.
Next, we went to see the Sea Lion show, they made us laugh a lot. Finally, we saw the reptile show. The two brave men showed us baby crocodiles and snakes.
We were feeling hungry by then so we had lunch and got ready to come home. We had chance to relax on the bus on the way back to Corralejo.
What a wonderful trip we had, we enjoyed it so much!
