END OF YEAR TRIP TO GRAN CANARIA
Our adventure started on 25th April, when the pupils from Year 4 headed to Gran Canaria to enjoy two days filled with great experiences.
During the first day we took a marvellous walk through the “Laguna de Valleseco” area, in which the children observed and learned about important characteristics of the flowers and local animal species.
In the afternoon we continued with a great range of games and activities such as an egg and spoon race but having to carry the spoon in our mouths, face-painting and even a game of “quemado” against the teachers and guides! Later we relaxed making some lovely hand-painted crafts to take home. However, the best was yet to come, after a deserving evening meal, it was time to get our P.J´s on and join to play “Night games” before bed.
The next day after preparing to leave and a hearty breakfast, the guides presented all the children with certificates for their marvellous participation in all the games and activities. We then left to continue our journey and visit the Elder Museum where we were able to learn different aspects about science and technology through various experiments. It was very interesting!
