Year 1 class completed their project on “buildings” visiting the agricultural museum. They were able to take a look at the typical architectural features of Canarian buildings of the early twentieth century. The children really enjoyed looking at the different cooking facilities and farming equipment, and during the visit they realized how harsh conditions were in the past for the Canarian farmers. The students were amazed at how basic the homes were compared with today; no electricity, no running water or toilets.
The children also enjoyed the walk around the outside area of the museum, accompanied by chickens and turkeys, stepping back to the days of their grandparents.
